This mission is especially important to me personally because my dad Panos Georgiou passed away from bladder cancer in 2019. He fought two long years going through chemo and clinical trials but lost his battle on August 29, 2019. Shortly after my dad’s passing, my mom Tricia Georgiou was diagnosed with CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia). Unlike my dad, my mom’s cancer was caught very early on. Her strength while taking care of my dad and herself, has inspired me to make a change in hopes that people won't have to struggle with cancer. I was on a team last year for LLS and raised $16,000. This year I would love to beat that and raise $20,000!
